Clemson continues their receiver run in the class of 2021 with addition of California native Beaux Collins. He signed his letter of intent this morning to officially join the Tigers. The 6’2” 195 lbs. wide receiver is a 4 star prospect with a .9654 rating. He was recruited by Tyler Grisham and is the 13th ranked receiver in the class of 2021. The Tigers beat out Alabama and Ohio State for his signature, and he should help bring more depth to a wide receiver corps that was hit hard by injury in 2020.

TenDay’s take from his commitment:

Collins fits the mold of recent Clemson wide receivers. He is long, lean, and smooth. That athleticism translated during a 2019 Opening Regional event. Collins posted verified testing numbers of: a 4.72 second 40 yard dash, a 4.30 shuttle, and a 35 inch vertical leap. Those numbers were recorded while Collins was still a sophomore in high school.

Collins could continue to develop and make an early contribution like previous receivers Tee Higgins, Deon Cain, and Mike Williams. However, given depth at the position, it appears he will be given time to perfect his body and be better prepared to contribute once he reaches his sophomore or junior year.
