#1 Clemson (5-0, 3-0) (LW:#1)
Yeah, ummm, so at one point people said UNC could be our toughest remaining game and let’s hope that’s the case. No reason to hit the panic button yet. This performance, a bye week, and then FSU coming to town could be a huge spark that gets us playing on the level we all expect. Also, always trust Brent Venables.

#2 Notre Dame (3-1, 2-0 vs ACC) (LW:#2)
The Irish bounced back with a 35-20 win over UVA. ND hosts Bowling Greene Saturday.
#3 Wake Forest (5-0, 1-0) (LW:#4)
The Deacs edged out BC 27-24 and the dream of the undefeated Clemson-Wake matchup lives on. Wake will also enjoy a bye week before hosting Louisville.
#4 Duke (4-1, 1-0) (LW:#5)
Duke absolutely crushed Va Tech Friday night 45-10. The Devils led 38-10 in the fourth and ran a fake punt on 4th and 3 which got 28 yards, just because they can.

Duke looks hot right now and Saturday night will host Pitt in what may be one of the day’s better games.
#5 Virginia (4-1, 2-1) (LW:#3)
UVA fell against Notre Dame 35-20. Wahoos will have the weekend off before heading to Miami.
#6 Syracuse (3-2, 0-1) (LW:#7)
‘Cuse easily took down Holy Cross 41-3. Orange have the week off before heading to NC State.
T#7 Boston College (3-2, 1-1) (LW:#6)
BC comes up short against Wake. Eagles head to Louisville this weekend.
T#7 North Carolina (2-3, 1-2) (LW:#9)
UNC probably gets their best “win” in a loss. Hats off to the Tar Heels on a hard fought game. There’s also been a lot of talk about their jumbotron shenanigans:

All in all I don’t have a problem with this type of stuff. Nothing offensive or over the line. That being said, calling Clemson fans bandwagon fans is hard to do when you look at UNC’s basketball fans. While many are die hard Tar Heels, I’ve certainly known a good bit of “SEC football team/UNC basketball” fans. But I digress. UNC plays at Ga Tech. It’ll be interesting if the Tar Heels have a hangover game after a gutsy performance vs Clemson.
#9 Pitt (3-2, 0-1) (LW:#8)
Has any team conveyed the overall craziness and absurdity of college football better than Pitt? Last week they knock of an undefeated team with an annoying fanbase that has a thing for fabricating championships. No, not Alabama, UCF. They follow this up by almost falling to the University of Delaware Blue Hens of the FCS’s Colonial Athletic Association, eking out a 17-14 win at home. Pitt follows this up with a big game against Duke Saturday night.
#10 Florida State (3-2, 2-1) (LW:#13)
Well, well, well. Taggart’s got his squad playing hard. The Noles thumped NC State 31-13 in Tallahassee. FSU gets the weekend off before coming up to Death Valley.
#11 NC State (3-2, 0-1) (LW:#10)
State got rolled by FSU. Has a week off and then hosts ‘Cuse.
#12 Miami (2-2, 0-1) (LW:#12)
Miami had the weekend off. Va Tech comes to town this weekend.
#13 Virginia Tech (2-2, 0-2) (LW:#11)
The Hokies were embarrassed Friday in Lane Stadium to the tune of a 45-10 loss to Duke. The Hokies also debuted what was supposed to be a pushup doing robot, but looked more like a sad dog in a Va Tech helmet:

VT will go to Miami Saturday in what should be a dumpster fire of a game.
#14 Louisville (2-2, 0-1) (LW:#14)
Louisville had the weekend off. Cards host BC on Saturday.
#15 Georgia Tech (1-3, 0-1) (LW:#15)
If you’re a Georgia Tech fan you can take solace in the fact that it’s only year one under a coach with a different philosophy than what Paul Johnson had. But still, it’s been pretty ugly. The Jackets fell again Saturday at Geoff Collins old school, Temple, losing 24-2 to the Owls. The Jackets host UNC Saturday.
