We Want Your Fanposts

We’re now less than a month away from kicking off the season against Georgia Tech on Thursday, August 29th. Until game week, we’ll continue providing offseason content, but we also want your fanpposts!

If you haven’t done it before, fanposts allow you to be a guest writer on Shakin the Southland. Just scroll down and look on the right side of the page and you’ll see them. The most recent one (as of this writing) was by Bingo Cats and got pulled up to the main page. You can write your own by clicking here.

Here are some potential topics to consider writing about:

• Reaction to pre-season polls
• Concerns with position groups
• Breakout players
• Tributes to your favorite players
• Predictions
• Thoughts on Clemson’s schedule
• Best road trips

We’ll be keeping an eye on incoming fan posts over the next three weeks and pull some of the top ones to the main page. Again, you can write your own by going here. We’ll copy edit your article, but here are some tips to give you the best chance to have your article pulled onto the main page:

• Shoot for 200-1,200 words. That’s not a strict rule but a general guide.
• Try to bring a unique perspective, statistic, or opinion that we haven’t written about.
• Avoid profanity.
• We like charts, tables, and graphs.
• If you use charts, tables, and graphs, label your axis and data points clearly.
