Clemson closes out its regular season by hosting the Wake Forest Demon Deacons for a Thursday-Saturday series. The Deacs are looking to rebound from their 1-2 series last weekend against Miami. Wake also proceeded to drop a midweek game on Tuesday against Radford University. The Deacs come in to the game in sixth place in the ACC, with Clemson coming in sitting in fifth place.

Offensively the Deacs are being led by infielder Bobby Seymour, who is hitting .377 with 80 hits on the year. Friday’s starter Colin Peluse is 3-7 on the year. Jared Shuster comes into Saturday with a 4-3 record, and Sunday's starter Ryan Cusick is 6-3 on the year. Thursday night is Seth Beer bobble head night, with the first 1000 fans receiving one.

With the Tigers sitting at #38 in RPI and Wake Forest 58th, this is a must win series for Monte Lee and the Tigers as far as the NCAA Tournament goes. Hosting is no longer a possibility, outside of an ACC Tournament Championship, and even that likely would not be enough, but a regional bid is still very much within reach for this team.
