Clemson Baseball- Tigers Set To Face Coastal Carolina

The Tigers hit the road to face the Chanticleers Tuesday night

Monte Lee and his Tigers (30-22) hit the road to take on Coastal Carolina (28-21-1) in Springs Brooks Stadium Tuesday night at 6pm. It's the second game of a home and home series between the two teams, with Clemson winning the first game 8-5 in Doug Kingsmore Stadium back in March.

The Tigers are 9-11 on the road and just dropped two out of three in Raleigh over the weekend, while Coastal split two games at the University of Texas- Arlington over the weekend.

Jackson Lindley (2-0, 3.20 ERA, 1.47 WHIP) gets the nod for Clemson. The freshman right handed pitcher will be making his sixth start of the season and is coming off a very impressive, and efficient outing last week vs the Citadel. Lindley threw six innings of two hit baseball against the Bulldogs, needing just 68 pitches to do so. Now he gets a shot at going on the road and showing what he can do.

Coastal will counter with a freshman right hander of their own in Garrett McDaniels (0-2, 8.06 ERA, 1.81 WHIP). It will be his first action since March 30 against Arkansas State. He lasted just one third of an inning, giving up 3 earned runs on 2 hits and a walk.

It's been an up and down season for the Tigers. A season in which the coaching staff has done a lot of mixing and matching trying to find the right combination of guys to run out there. Sixteen different players on the roster have started at least eight games.

Clemson comes in sitting at #39 in RPI, while Coastal sits at #63. With just 4 games left in the regular season, and the Tigers fighting for their postseason lives, this is a game they've got to have.

The game streamed at GoCCUSports.com and can be heard on 105.5 WCCP The Roar, TuneIn Radio, and ClemsonTigers.com.
