Clemson Baseball- Tigers Blank Paladins

Two Tiger pitchers combined for a two hit shut out against Furman Wednesday night

Bo Majkowski bats against Louisville

Jacob Hennessy and Brooks Crawford combined to hurl a 2 hit shutout Wednesday night in a 2-0 win over Furman at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, a game that took just 2 hours and 18 minutes to play.

Making his first start of the season, Hennessy allowed just two hits in 6.2 IP, struck out three, and didn't walk a batter. It was quite the outing for the lefty who improves to 3-0 on the season with the win.

Brooks Crawford relieved Hennessy in the seventh and had quite the performance himself. The senior threw 2.2 innings of perfect baseball to finish off the Paladins, striking out 1, and picking up a save in the process, his first of the season.

Kyle Wilkie had an RBI single in the 5th and Bo Majkowski added an RBI single of his own in the 8th. Those two runs would be all the Tigers needed on this night.

#13 Clemson improves to 25-8 (11-4) on the season and are 18th in RPI. Furman drops to 11-21.

The Tigers will now get ready to hit the road as they head down to Tallahassee this weekend for a 3 game set against Mike Martin and the Florida State Seminoles.
