It has been rumored for several months, but Clemson made it official today by announcing a home and home series against the LSU Tigers. The series is scheduled to play out against the Tigers from Louisiana in 2025 and 2026. The first game will be plated in the real Death Valley followed by a trip to Baton Rouge in 2026.
A few of you may remember the last time Clemson and LSU met. The 2012 Peach Bowl saw LSU take the lead early before Clemson began a fantastic final drive starting with 4th & 16 and ending with a Catman FG for the win.
This series also shows Clemson’s commitment to scheduling home and home games against P5 opponents rather than succumbing to the status quo of neutral site games. In the past decade Clemson has only played 2 neutral site games, 2008 against Alabama and 2012 against Auburn. Because of Dan Radokovich’s connections, he spent time at LSU in their athletic department, he was able to work with LSU AD Joe Alleva to put this one together.
