Birds Flying Up and Down

Boston College comes in on a two game losing streak, however are looking to claim their second straight ACC series. The Eagles took the first two games against Virginia Tech last weekend in Chestnut Hill. BC currently sits tied with Notre Dame and Louisville (ha!) for last in the conference. The Eagles are led offensively by senior Jake Palomaki. The senior shortstop out of Kennesaw, Georgia is hitting a nice .415 with thirty nine hits. Friday night starter Jacob Stevens has a 3.21 ERA, has given up thirty one hits and struck out thirty nine batters on the year. Saturday's starter Metzdorf has a 5.81 ERA and has given up thirty six hits while striking out twenty. Sunday's starter Rapp brings a 3.87 ERA, forty two strikeouts, and has given up twenty six hits.

Beer Time

After struggling at the plate for the past few games, Seth Beer had a great night offensively in Greenville Tuesday night, going three for three, working a walk, and ripping a grand slam in the fourth inning in the Tigers 10-5 win over Furman. After seeing early action in the two hole, Monte Lee has shuffled Beer's spot in the lineup over the past few games. Beer batted fourth in the third game of the series against Louisville and then third in the Furman game. With his success against Furman, it will be interesting to see where he hits Thursday.

Time Change

This series was already on a different schedule than usual. With Easter being Sunday, Clemson, along with many other teams, are playing a Thursday-Saturday series and observing the holiday on Sunday. Thursdays game was slated for a 6:30 first pitch, but due to the threat of inclement weather, the game will begin at 4:00. As always, keep a watch on social media and other sources to see if any other game times will be changed.
