After a thrilling opening weekend series, the Tigers will host instate foe Furman. The Paladins opened the 2018 season by sweeping the Marist Red Foxes of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, including a 7-6 ten inning victory to close the series on Sunday.

Clemson freshman lefty Sam Weatherly will be making his debut for the Tigers as the starting pitcher. Weatherly was a highly rated recruit from Michigan and also plays first base and outfield. Weatherly looks to replace Tyler Jackson as the Tigers midweek starter.

Furman will start sophomore righty Trent Alley. Alley pitched in eight games last season, three starts and five relief appearances. He went 1-0 and had a 6.00 ERA. Also saw some time at DH and third base. Offensively the Paladins are led by junior third baseman Jake Crawford. The Honea-Path product started 52 games in the field, while also making 18 pitching appearances for Furman. Last season he hit .309 with two home runs, yet he's started off 2018 in a hot way, going 7-9 with one home run and three RBIs.

Fans can purchase tickets for tomorrow's game for $2, as a part of this season's new promotion of $2 tickets for Tuesday and Wednesday games.
