In Tuesday’s 65-60 win over S.T Peter’s, senior guard Marcquise Reed suffered a scary knee injury. Initally, many Tiger fans feared the worst.

On Wendsday, Reed had an MRI that confirmed he had suffered a sprained knee. In this scenario, a sprain is best case for the guard.

In the young season, Marcquise Reed has already been imperative to the success of the Tigers. Reed leads his team in minutes (34 mpg), points (19.4 ppg), and assists (3.4 apg).

If Reed suffered a more significant injury, it would have been especially devastating because it would have likely ended his college basketball career.

Reed’s status is still in doubt for Saturday’s game at #22 Mississippi State.
