With the bye week approaching, Clemson has an opportunity to clinch bowl elgibility, go to 3-0 in the ACC, and maybe get a bit of a do over on Trevor Lawrence as QB1. Theoretically Clemson should dominate this afternoon. Wake’s defense is pretty bad and while the offense can threaten with their high tempo, they shouldn’t do enough to seriously challenge Clemson.
The big thing we’re looking for is a commitment to the run. Establishing the run can help set up the passing game and shows the team actually learning from experience. In the passing game we want to see Lawrence settle down a bit and return to his normal level of accuracy. This is a great game for the offense to reset heading into the bye week and an eventual game against NC State.
