Once again it is time for a Clemson - Louisville game. Once again Clemson has the talent advantage. They are more experienced and deeper at just about every position. But Louisville has Lamar Jackson. Despite the good and the bad of Louisville he is very capable of beating Clemson by himself.
On offense we’ll get a better idea of just what Clemson can do this year. Kent State was too easy, and Auburn may actually be good. Louisville doesn’t appear to have a great defense and Clemson should move the ball and score points. But they can’t turn the ball over like last year, the Tigers won’t survive another game like that one.
Now we’ll get to see what Brent Venables has schemed up for this one. It is Clemson’s first road test of the season, and it is a doozy. A win here puts Clemson in the front-runner position for the ACC Atlantic. A loss doesn’t kill their hopes, but it does mean Louisville has to lose twice in conference play.
Buckle up for this one, every game in the series has been a one-score game involving a late defensive stop by Clemson. Hope you’re drinking.
