NCAA Football: Fiesta Bowl-Ohio State vs Clemson Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

With the offseason in full swing we are looking to add to our staff here at Shakin’ The Southland. We have two positions we are looking to fill to help round out and expand our coverage of all things Clemson football.

Recruiting Analyst: We are looking for someone to help cover recruiting on a daily basis at STS. This position will involve tracking potential Clemson recruits as they take visits to Clemson, announce top 10 or top 5 schools, getting interviews when possible, and other week to week recruiting activities. If possible candidates will also be able to break down film of recruits to offer quality analysis. This position will involve recruiting roundups written on a weekly basis as well as other articles depending on interest.

X’s and O’s Breakdown: One of the things STS is known for is our top-level analysis of football X’s and O’s. We are looking to expand our coverage of X’s and O’s with some additional writers. Potential candidates should have a grasp of football X’s and O’s and be able to analyze game film to provide insight on individual plays as well as specific player techniques at some positions. In addition to game film breakdowns candidates may also be asked to talk general football strategy.

These positions don’t require any experience in journalism. Most of our staff work in fields outside of journalism and write for Shakin’ The Southland for fun. By joining us you have an opportunity to discuss Clemson football in front of thousands of readers. If you are looking to break into the field of journalism Shakin’ The Southland is part of SB Nation and Vox Media. Many members of SB Nation team sites have gone on to successful careers in sports journalism.

If interested please email Brian at blewis593@gmail.com to discuss either position in more detail.
