Clemson (15-14) will face Boston College (9-21) tomorrow at 4 p.m. in Littlejohn to close out the regular season.
The Tigers are 14-point favorites according to Oddsshark.com and KenPom gives Clemson a 90 percent chance of victory.
The Eagles are not a great team. They have a fairly average offense and defense, by KenPom’s efficiency metrics, and do a good job hauling in defensive rebounds.
Despite this, BC has not won since January 11, at home against NC State. They’ve lost their last 12 games in a row and signs do not point to that changing tomorrow.
For BC to pull off the upset, sophomore guard Jerome Robinson will have to blow up. He is averaging 19 points per game.
However, Clemson’s defense is adept at forcing turnovers and can take advantage of Robinson’s sloppy 3.2 turnovers per game.
KenPom projects that Clemson will win 83-68, however, the Tigers are one of the most unlucky teams in the nation, ranking 305 out of 351 teams according to KenPom.
If the game is close, anything can happen with this Tigers team. But, if Clemson can beat the Eagles, they will head into the ACC tourney with some momentum coming off two straight wins.
