Welcome to another edition of, “Clemson plays a team with inferior talent and keeps it close.” This week we see the Tigers travel to the hot desert of New York to take on Syracuse.
The Tigers will be looking to get out of here with a comfortable win, but with the MO of the coaching staff this year don’t expect this to be a blowout. Clemson will look to get up by 2-3 scores and then sit on the game. The downside to this is that Syracuse has the quick strike offense to get back into the game with a few good plays.
Everyone wants to know the status of Kelly Bryant and Dabo is adamant that Bryant will play tonight. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see him rested rather quickly, especially if Clemson comes out and grabs a quick lead. Even if Bryant is good enough to play longer he hopefully won’t be running the ball too much. With the bye week coming up it makes more sense to rest him as much as possible. He’ll be needed against Georgia Tech.
This one kicks off at 7pm EST tonight on ESPN. If you can’t watch on TV head over to WatchESPN to stream what will hopefully be a Clemson victory.
As always join us in the comments below for this one.
