Did you think this game was over? Did you think Clemson didn’t have a chance to spring the upset and win the national title?
Maybe you did, but thankfully, Hunter Renfrow and the Tigers didn’t.
After trailing 17-7, and having their offense struggle for most of the game, Clemson caught a break thanks to a rare Alabama special teams miscue. After a strike to Dion Cain put the Tigers in business, Deshaun Watson found our resident Bama killer, Hunter Renfrow, for this beautiful 24-yard touchdown pass.
Renfrow has been on fire today, with seven catches for 77 yards so far, including this all-important touchdown. Watson has 228 yards passing.
There’s still a lot of football left, but now Clemson only needs to come back from three points down. And if they can find Hunter a few more times, they just might be able knock off the Tide.
