Shakin' The Southland Is Looking For New Contributors

Once again at STS we are looking to fill a few positions on our writing staff. We are looking to fill the two positions below as quickly as possible. If you're interested in making a career in sports writing or just want to wax poetic about the different ways Brent Venables can scream, STS is the perfect place for it.  You'll become part of SB Nation, one of the largest online sports outlets in the country where alums have gone on to write for ESPN, SI, and Fox Sports among others. Plus we have cool member jackets.

Social Media Manager

Shakin' The Southland is looking to bring a social media manager on board. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage the STS Facebook and Twitter accounts as well as contribute with any breaking news. Responsibilities for the position will include ensuring all articles on STS are posted to Facebook as well as properly promoted on Twitter. Writing and knowledge of best social media practices is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will also have a familiarity with Clemson sports and in interest in checking in with social media for short form content that could be posted to Shakin' the Southland. Baseball Contributor

Shakin' the Southland is looking for a new baseball contributor. We need a talented individual that can help write previews and reviews during the baseball season as well as an interest in writing opinion pieces about the baseball team. In the offseason there will be opportunities to write about football and basketball as well. Writing experience is not required, but it is preferred. This position does not have a stipend.
