Clemson at Georgia Tech - Preview & Live Gamethread

Clemson looks to breath some life into dwindling NCAA tournament dreams as they look for a road win against Georgia Tech.

Dawson Powers-USA TODAY Sports

Although the football team hasn't won at Georgia Tech since 2003, the basketball team beat the Jackets in Atlanta the year before last and have dominated the series winning 11 of the past 12 match-ups.

The Tigers' weekend loss to NC State was devastating, but predicted by KenPom. It dropped the Tigers to 16-11 with only three regular season games remaining. 20 wins is likely the bar the Tigers must meet and that makes every regular season game from here on out an absolute must win. It begins tonight in McCamish Pavillion.

The Tigers are ranked 52nd in KenPom - right in the thick of bubble discussion - but are projected to have only a 38% chance to win in Atlanta tonight against #61 Georgia Tech. After slowing down Cat Barber, they'll have to do the same against Marcus Georges-Hunt, something they were successful with in the two team's last meeting.

Despite the pessimistic projection, the Tigers have fared very well against the Jackets recently, and in rare form, I will go against KenPom in saying I believe the Tigers will win this contest. What do you think? Join us in the comment section to discuss!
