It is time for the first test of the season. We all know the drill, Thursday night, away from Death Valley, and a trick opponent to boot. The numbers say Clemson should win. Louisville didn't impress against Auburn in the season opener and they lost a lot of talent from last year's team. But Bobby Petrino is known for making some magic on offense. We also all know what happens on Thursday night games to the away team. This one will probably be close. Too close.
For Deshaun Watson it represents an opportunity to shake off a rather ugly performance. Before getting injured Louisville was giving him and the Clemson offense everything they can handle. As always Clemson's success will ride on Watson's arm, and knee, and leg, and body.
Keep an eye on our defense for this one. It will be their first test too and I'm more intrigued by how they'll deal with Louisville than what our offense would do.
Enjoy this one, I'm going to be watching on a crappy internet connection in Costa Rica. I'll drink a few rum and cokes for ya.
