Fortunately, the enforced casing prevented further damage to the Rock this time. Statement from the CUAD follows: "Early Wednesday morning, the case protecting Howard's Rock was damaged. Howard's Rock itself does not appear to be damaged in any way, and Clemson has begun plans to secure it until the case is repaired.
