Clemson to Face Oklahoma in 2015 Orange Bowl College Football Playoff Semifinal

Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports

Next up, the Oraneg Bowl. After winning the division, winning the state, and winning the ACC, Clemson now gets to go win the playoff. Their semifinal opponent, Oklahoma. Clemson is the #1 team in the land, but the committee has decided to have a rematch of last year's Athletic Bowl. As we all remember, Clemson won that game 40-6 without a certain Deshaun Watson. Oklahoma has improved tremendously since that game and is possibly the hottest team in college football right now.

For Clemson, the nearly 4 weeks off before the Orange Bowl will provide some welcome rest. This was a team, especially on defense, that was battered and injured as the season ended. Saturday night showed the effort was still there even if the fitness was not. Now Clemson has time to regain both.

The 2015 Orange Bowl will be played on December 31st, yes that is New Year's Eve, with kickoff scheduled for 4pm EST. I'll be going on the SB Nation Playoff show at 1:05 pm EST, just click to listen below.
