We've had this game circled on the calendar for a while now. After 3 straight losses to Florida State, all depressing in their own way, Clemson is once again the favorite. Vegas installed Clemson as a 12 point favorite and it has been a weird week ever since.
FSU has had a lot of injuries this season, perhaps the biggest is Dalvin Cook. If his hamstring and ankle injuries prevent him from playing much it could be a long day for the Seminoles. On defense LB Terrance Smith will be a difference maker, if he plays.
As for Clemson, the most important thing is to not let the moment get too big. The Tigers are the #1 team in the country and with that ranking comes expectations. Today Clemson just needs to win. It doesn't need to be fancy, but it is going to require more effort than what we saw against NC State.
On the line today is not only a spot in the top 4 for another week, but an Atlantic Division title. A win today secures at least a partial division championship and guarantees Clemson will be headed to Charlotte for the ACC Championship. Just another goal on a long list.
