We are finally here. The last home game of what has been a memorable home slate for Clemson. Wins over Notre Dame and Florida state have culminated in Clemson being the #1 team for the first time since the 1981 season. Today Clemson has the opportunity to move to 11-0 and make another step towards a national title.
While Wake Forest does not have a record of quality, this is a football team with some ability. The talent is certainly lacking, but Wake Forest has fought hard in every game and provided several teams with a real game. If Clemson takes them lightly it could be perilous.
For Tiger fans it is an opportunity to see if the poor defensive effort of the past week can be erased. Hopefully the team has focused during practice this week and will bring out the level of execution we've come to expect.
