Brandon Thomas, Martavis Bryant, and Bashaud Breeland Drafted on Saturday

Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

Friday and Saturday have been busy days for Clemson fans as receiver Martavis Bryant, lineman Brandon Thomas, and corner back Bashaud Breeland were all drafted in the third and forth rounds of the NFL Draft.

Brandon Thomas was the first off the board yesterday when he was taken with 36th pick in the 3rd round by the San Francisco 49ers. Anytime you get a chance to go to a quality team life is pretty good. While Thomas is unlikely to contribute much if at all this season, 49ers guard Mike Iupati is entering the final year of his contract, and Thomas could be viewed as his replacement for 2015.

Today Bashaud Breeland only had to wait till the second pick of the 4th round to hear his name called. The corner back was drafted by the Washington Redskins, a team that needs all the help on defense they can get. Breeland will come in as a special teams player and backup in the secondary. Hopefully by the 2015 or 2016 season he can show enough to be a starter for the Redskins.

Finally receiver Martavis Bryant was selected by my hometown Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have been hurting for some receiving help after what seems like every every receiver has decided to chase #1 receiver money with other teams. Bryant is definitely unpolished, but with QB Ben Roethlisberger throwing him the ball Bryant will have some opportunities to make plays. Big Ben will also like Bryant's large frame which will give the QB a bigger target when decides to hold onto the ball leave the pocket and pass.

All three players seem to have fallen to decent spots, with Bryant and Thomas being in the best situations. With 3 rounds of the draft remaining, QB Tajh Boyd seems to be the most likely Clemson player to be drafted today.
