Jaron Blossomgame will not play in Littlejohn Coliseum again this season. The redshirt freshman forward landed awkwardly on his leg in Tuesday night's win versus the Georgia State Panthers. The injury was to the same leg he injured in high school, but was reported as just a bruise. With more medical work complete, Greenville Online is now calling it a hairline fracture.
As you'd expect, Jaron Blossomgame has a great attitude about the setback:
"I’m always positive. Everything happens for a reason. Injuries, they happen in sports. That’s the risk you take when you play sports like this. So, I just keep my head up and stay positive."
Brad Brownell did not rule out the possibility of Jaron playing in MSG should Clemson advance to the NIT's Final Four, however that seems somewhat optimistic. It is most important for Blossomgame to make a full recovery and be prepared to make major strides next season.
In speaking with Jaron, he said he'll be back soon and he's not too worried about it. He is a friend of the site, so we ask for your thoughts and prayers as he deals with this most recent setback.
