Shakin the Southland Bowl Pick'em Contest

New, comments

Can you beat the STS staff and fellow Clemson fans in bowl picks?

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Clemson is headed to the Russell Athletic (Tangerine) Bowl on Monday, December 29th in Orlando. Although we were hoping for the Orange or Citrus bowls, two things broke out of our favor (Georgia Tech beat Georgia and Mississippi State jumped Michigan State in the polls while idle) which sent us to the Russell. On the bright side, facing a down Oklahoma Sooners team gives Clemson the opportunity to win three straight bowl games against huge national brands: LSU, Ohio State, and Oklahoma.

We'll be breaking that game down over the next two weeks, but to give you a rooting interest in the other 38,000 bowls, we created a bowl pick'em game that you can join by CLICKING HERE. The game is based on confidence points. That means that you determine who you believe will win each game and then rank them based on likelihood. For example, if you think there is a no way that a particular team loses its bowl game, then you will assign them 39 confidence points. Meanwhile, if there is a team that you're unsure about them winning, then you will want to assign them only a few confidence points.

On behalf of the STS staff, we looking forward to competing with you. Thank you for frequenting our site and making the comment section the most informative and thoughtful source for fan commentary on the web.

Again, you can join here. Yahoo has been slow to post the football schedule so I've set this one up on ESPN. Best of luck.
