Weekly Clemson News and Recruiting Links

Clemson Tigers have played OL shuffle this season - ESPN

The offensive line combination we will roll out for Wake Forest will be our sixth combination in nine games....That's embarrassing how bad the stability has been at that position. I am encouraged to see Crowder get more playing time and getting a chance to start. I expect him to definitely be a starter next year at one of the guard spots. I definitely agree with the idea to start Webster at center over Norton. Norton has been struggling mightily and while Webster isn't a substantial upgrade, he is definitely an upgrade over Norton. Still itching for Guillermo to get back though as he is clearly our best option at center and will probably be for the next few years.

Tigers to see Mack

Here's a recruiting link on the basketball front. Looks like Tevin Mack might be torn with five schools recruiting him hard. If Brownell and Co. are able to land Mack, this would be a solid icing on the cake for the 2015 recruiting class and would add more depth to the wing positions for the next few years.

Steelers' Mr. Touchdown strikes again, and again - Orange and White Story

As a Ravens fan I hate seeing the Steelers do well but I have enjoyed seeing Martavis Bryant score five touchdowns over the last three weeks. It was especially bittersweet for me on Sunday watching Big Ben pick apart the Ravens' secondary but I didn't mind seeing two of those touchdowns go to Bryant. I love seeing former Tigers score touchdowns every week in the NFL this year. Sammy, Nuk, Andre Ellington, and Dwayne Allen have been regular touchdowns contributors for their teams this year. Even Jaron Brown, who is currently a fifth receiver for the Cardinals scored a touchdown on Sunday.

Beasley Semifinalist for Lombardi Award - Clemson Tigers Official Athletics Site

Beasley was also nominated for the Bednarik Award and the Lott Trophy. Other current Tigers nominated for major awards include Punter Bradley Pinion for the Ray Guy Award, Stephone Anthony for the Dick Butkus Award, Mike Williams for the Biletnikoff Award, and Dabo Swinney for the Bobby Dodd COY.

'Fun' in winning, move up up charts for Clemson 'D' - Orange and White Story

You can't have too much fun but you have to be able to have a little bit of fun if you want to have a successful unit. Good to see the defense is having fun when they are wreaking havoc and good to see that DC Brent Venables, who has a reputation as an intense and fiery coach on the sidelines, is also apart of the fun.
