Happy Thanksgiving, ya bunch of turkeys! Last week, I had a nice 5-3 record in a week of college football's pre-Thanksgiving feast of cupcakes. Now comes the best weekend of the season. All kinds of big rivalries to enjoy on a great Thanksgiving weekend.
Thursday 11/27
LSU (-3, o/u 52) @ Texas A&M, 7:30 (ESPN)
No, it's not the old Texas-Texas A&M rivalry, but the Bayou Bengals-Aggies matchup in College Station should keep you entertained as you're trying to recover just enough to fit in a second slice of pie in. Two weeks ago, LSU was slapped around by Rival Arkansas, and are looking to recover from that. That same week, the Ags followed up their upset of Auburn with a tough loss to Mizzou. Kyle Field will be rocking for this one, no doubt. That's a tough place to play, and LSU may not be up to the task. The Goldin Guarantee: Texas A&M 24 LSU 21
Saturday 11/29
South Carolina @ Clemson (-4.5, no o/u available) 12:00(ESPN)
A lot of people are bummed about the early kickoff, but don't think for one second that Death Valley won't be rocking as the coots come to town. This one could get played at 3:00 AM and it would still be wild. The big question still is whether or not Deshaun Watson plays. It is looking more and more positive, but nothing has been confirmed. Either way, Clemson's defense vs Sakerlina's offense will be the big matchup to watch. Dylan Thompson and co have been able to put points on the board, while Vic Beasley's squad has been able to keep the other team out of the end zone. Sakerlina earned bowl eligibility with their win over South Alabama, so that pressure will be off of them. The Tigers will be chomping at the bit to shut up Steve Spurrier and the Gamecocks, and this looks like it will be the year that order is restored. The Goldin Guarantee: Clemson 24 Sakerlina 16
Michigan @ Ohio State (-20.5, o/u 52.5) 12:00 (ABC)
One of the most hyped rivalries in the country returns in probably one of the least exciting games of the weekend. UM sits at 5-6 in what will most likely be Brady Hoke's last year, while Urban Myer's Buckeyes are making their case to be in the College Football Playoff. J.T Barrett looks to continue his impressive year, and the Buckeyes are looking to pick up their 3rd straight win in the series. The Goldin Guarantee: Ohio State 35 Michigan 13
Georgia Tech @ Georgia (-12.5, o/u 65.5) 12:00 (SEC Network)
UGA welcomes their old rival between the hedges for another year. This year, the Jackets boast a #16 ranking along with an ACC Coastal Title, while the #9 Dawgs will be keeping an eye on the Missouri-Arkansas game to see if they will be playing for the SEC Championship and a potential playoff bid. Nick Chubb has been a phenomenal freshman, and Tech's defense will need to work overtime to have an answer for him. The Goldin Guarantee: UGA 42 GT 28
Florida @ Florida State (-7.5, o/u 52.5) 3:30 (ESPN)
Will Muschamp takes his squad to Tallahassee for the last time as the Gators' head coach, where they are looking to ruin Florida State's bid at a second consecutive national championship. The Noles don't look as dominating as they did last year, and Florida isn't as inept either, so this one could actually be somewhat of a fight. The Gators shocked UGA earlier this year, so there is no reason why they couldn't do the same to a Florida State squad that could very easily have lost a few games this year. However, Jameis Winston and his squad are still very talented. The Goldin Guarantee: FSU 20 UF 19
Auburn @ Alabama (-9.5, o/u 53.5) 7:45 (ESPN)
The Iron Bowl returns after last years fantastic finish in Auburn. Auburn has played their way out of National Championship, while a one loss Bama squad looks to possibly be the favorite for the title. This game will, once again, be a very intense game. Bama fans are going to be hoping that WR Amari Cooper is back from a bruised knee, which he is listed as probable of doing. If he's 100% or even close, then it could be a long day for Auburn. The Goldin Guarantee: Alabama 28 Auburn 20
