(9) Georgia Bulldogs (8-2, 6-2 SEC)
Quite literally ran over Auburn, 34-7. Todd Gurley was back; he combined with Nick Chubb for 282 yards of rushing against a defense that isn't good at stopping runs. Meanwhile, Georgia's defense was great at stopping more or less everything Auburn tried to do.
South Carolina State Bulldogs (7-4, 5-2 MEAC)
Lost to Morgan State 24-21 on the strength of a late touchdown drive from the... Bears, I guess they're called. SC State turned it over three times while also giving up 448 yards of offense. That they had control of this game for so long while only managing 207 yards of their own is kind of confusing.
(1) Florida State Seminoles (10-0, 7-0 ACC)
Defeated Miami 30-26 because of course they did. Given the almost 500 yards of offense they allowed, I dare say they can't keep doing this. Especially not against the sort of teams they'd ostensibly face in a playoff. The Seminoles' saving grace was a 26-yard rushing touchdown from Dalvin Cook.
North Carolina Tar Heels (5-5, 3-3 ACC)
Beat Pitt 40-35. 1,025 total yards of offense in this one, which UNC managed to clinch by recovering a fumble on defense after scoring a touchdown. Is that irony? Oddly, Pitt only turned the football over that one time - they're really slacking.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons (2-8, 0-6 ACC) at N.C. State Wolfpack (6-5, 2-5 ACC)
Well, at least we know who really is the worst team in the Atlantic now. NC State won this game 42-13 and was immediately quarantined due to exposure to Wake Forest. The Wolfpack only passed for 83 yards against the vaunted... I'm not even going to finish that sentence. Wake gave up 362 rushing yards while gaining 58, so they're truly in mid-season form.
Louisville Cardinals (7-3, 5-3 ACC)
Didn't play. Going to South Bend next week.
Boston College Eagles (6-4, 3-3 ACC)
Didn't play either. Going to Tallahassee next week.
Syracuse Orange (3-7, 1-5 ACC)
I'm sensing a pattern. They play at Pitt next week.
Georgia State Panthers (1-9, 0-7 Sun Belt)
Rinse and repeat. You know who they play next, I'm sure.
South Carolina Gamecocks (5-5, 3-5 SEC)
Defeated Florida 23-20 in OT by scoring a touchdown after the Gators kicked a field goal, which, if you haven't been following Florida football, is basically their season. Oh, and they had 60 passing yards. It's easy to play defense when the opposing team can't do anything, isn't it? We're probably going to get a taste of that in two weeks.
