No. 19 Clemson will meet cross-division rival No. 22 Georgia Tech in an early afternoon ACC game at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The game will kick off at noon from Atlanta as the Tigers attempt to win their first road game against Georgia Tech since 2003.
Barring a late collapse from the division leaders, bowl positioning and pride in an underrated rivalry are what's at stake Saturday afternoon. Freshman quarterback Deshaun Watson's return from injury in his home state leads the headlines, but a Clemson win will hinge mainly on the Tigers' defensive performance against Georgia Tech's option attack, which is averaging 38.8 points per game.
To catch up on some pre-game reading, check out Calvin Craft's preview and Ryan Kantor's Q&A with From the Rumble Seat, which you could visit for more information about the Yellow Jackets. Join us at Shakin' the Southland throughout the day to talk about Clemson-Georgia Tech and the rest of Week 12 in college football.
Game info
TV: Noon, ESPN. Mike Patrick and Ed Cunningham will call the game, with Jeannine Edwards reporting.

Elsewhere in Week 12
Thanks to Clemson's noon kickoff, there's still plenty of Week 12 left to enjoy after Clemson and Georgia Tech wrap things up. Mississippi State and Alabama (3:30 p.m., CBS) headline the afternoon with a top-5 clash in the SEC. In primetime, Auburn travels to Georgia (7:15 p.m., ESPN). In the ACC's second promising game of the day, FSU-Miami (8 p.m., ABC) could also be a lot of fun, and it's just the sort of game in which neutral fans--if those exist--love to take sides.
