The hype train has officially left the station for Clemson as the Tigers jumped to a 4th place ranking in this week's Associated Press poll. It is the school's highest ranking since 1988 when the Tigers had a #3 ranking in the poll.
Fresh off the back of a statement win against Georgia, the Tigers even got a lone first place vote. This is possibly the first the school has seen since winning a national title. Alabama, Oregon, and Ohio State are ahead of Clemson while helps to Stanford rounds out the top 5.
Georgia dropped to 11th in the poll following their loss, while South Carolina is ranked 6th. Should USC continue to win, we could be seeing a top 5 matchup to end the season in Columbia. FSU is 10th and should continue to rise ahead of our game on October 19th.
Oh, and Boise State still received votes in this poll, voters are all different kinds of silly.
