WR Charone Peake Tears ACL, Out for Season

Joshua S. Kelly-US PRESSWIRE

Just released from the SID, Charone Peake tore his ACL in Monday practice and is out for the season. Right now, Adam Humphries has been elevated to a starting spot.

In the long run, it means that Sammy Watkins will move from the 2 position and spend more time at the 9 and 5 spots in the offense. Humphries will probably get the 2 position until Germone Hopper is ready for fulltime duty, though with his experience in the system he could probably play the 9 and 5 well enough to be serviceable.

Mike Williams and TJ Green both got PT this weekend and are capable of playing the 9 and 5 positions as well, though I'm not sure either could adequately play the 2.

Since Peake will have played in less than 40% of the team's games this year, he would be eligible for a Medical exemption if he pursued it.

Sure would be nice to have taken Quinshad Davis.
