The 2013 preseason USA Today Coaches Poll was released today and Clemson is ranked in the top 10 for the first time since 2008. The Tigers are ranked 8th in the poll and are the top ranked ACC team. FSU is ranked 12th while Miami and UNC also received votes in the poll. The full poll is below.
As expected the top of the poll is dominated by the SEC with 5 of the top 10 teams coming from the conference. Clemson's season opening opponent Georgia is ranked 5th, and with leaks indicating that College GameDay is coming to Clemson, opening weekend is sure to be one to remember.
South Carolina is ranked 7th, and depending on how both teams play out the season, it is very feasible that our annual game against the Gamecocks will feature a top 10 matchup.
