Clemson Redshirt Freshman Patrick DeStefano, from Dorman HS in Spartanburg, has given up football due to a nerve issue in his shoulder. The reserve lineman has had this issue for several years now, dating back to his HS days. This was one reason why we rated him among the lower recruits in his class, his shoulder prevented him from gaining the upper body strength he needs to play on the OL consistently well. He had spent time at Guard and H-back here and played in some situations this season, but the stingers have been recurring.
Dabo has said he will keep his scholarship and be put on medical exemption, meaning he does not count towards the 85-man limit.
