Dabo has put together a fantastic visitors list for this Saturday. This is a visit list worthy of the 5* summit label.
WR Marquez North cancelled an official visit with Ohio State and is scheduled to be at Death Valley with his father tomorrow. We are making a late push for North after leading for much of his early recruitment. The firing of Derek Dooley at Tennessee puts us back in play here. We still trail UNC and Tennessee but this visit could really help us. North hasn't been on campus since last January.
WR commit Ryan Jenkins will be visiting and with him will hopefully be a pair of 5* defensive lineman, DE (#2 recruit in the nation and current Auburn commit) Carl Lawson along with DT Montravious Adams. The fact that they are passing on the Iron Bowl, the Alabama versus Auburn match-up speaks volumes to me. Adams and Lawson are good friends(as I have consistently said I feel good about Adams, just another confirmation with the visit). Lawson almost visited last week but Jenkins didn't make the trip and so Lawson didn't have a ride. This works out much better and may have been the preference of the staff all along. Major kudos are in store for Mr. Jenkins for getting Lawson on campus (they are former teammates in GA--Jenkins transferred this year).
**Update: Kipp Adams of ESPN has confirmed with Lawson that he will indeed be visiting. My earlier intel was indeed correct. Its insane that Clemson is legitimately in it for the top three lineman in the country (Nkemdiche, Lawson and Adams).
4* OL Tyrone Crowder will be visiting. We are still battling Georgia and UNC but I feel like we have the slight edge right now, partly because he is choosing to visit us this weekend.
With the staff parting ways with DE Elijah Daniel, Clemson is bringing in DE/OLB Ebenezer Ogundeko (6' 3, 237) from Brooklyn, NY for an official visit. Our main competition is Florida, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and possibly Arizona State. He has taken an official to ASU already. Last week he visited Florida and named them as his leader but he did not commit and is taking this official to Clemson. Committed TE Jordan Leggett will also make an official visit.
Don't look now but DB's Ryan Carter and former commit David Kamara of Grayson are visiting again this week. Could something be in the works behind the scenes here? Could the staff actually be offering Carter in an attempt to get back Nkemdiche? Gallman will also be on campus.
Tramel Terry will be making an official visit to Georgia. This is a back and forth battle with each team feeling good about their chances of landing Terry after each respective visit. Its certainly not great that Georgia gets the last visit but Clemson is absolutely still in this.
