Things to Watch for--Mother's Day Edition

Tiger baseball has shown some fight so far with two wins over ACC foe Maryland.  A win today would give the Tigers their first weekend sweep since the Va Tech series back in March.  This is almost a must win for a Tiger team that definitely has a lot to prove.  As we have stated here at STS, anything less than a sweep would be extremely disappointing.

We are really hoping that Clemson can get it done this afternoon and springboard into the last little stretch of this regular season which still includes a trip to Winston Salem and hosting a good Florida State team at BTF.  Because of woes experienced earlier in the year, today's game and the momentum that a sweep may generate could be just what this team needs to get going in the right direction just in time for the post season.

Former Tiger Lucas Glover is having a nice run at TPC Sawgrass this week.  After breaking the "jinx" earlier this week, Glover has played himself into a nice position entering the final round.  Glover is 3rd overall and trails leader Lee Westwood by a mere two strokes entering Sunday after firing a 65 on Friday and 69 Saturday.  Give 'em hell Lucas.

Congratulations to the Clemson students and student athletes who graduated earlier this week.  It is a great honor to be a Clemson alumnus and each of you should be proud to be part of the Clemson tradition.  The Clemson experience is something that no one can take away from you and something you will look back on and remember for the rest of your life.  Best wishes in the "real world" and Go Tigers!
