Clemson Defeats UNC-G: 89-67

ESPN Stats and Overview

Game Summary Article from The State

Trevor Booker led the #23 Clemson Tigers to another November victory against UNC Greensboro Nov 20 in Greensoboro, NC.  Booker poured in 17 points and snagged 9 rebounds to keep the Tigers perfect on the young season.  Clemson has now won 11 consecutive non-conference games, and has won 29 consecutive games in the month of November.

Milton Jennings was able to add 14 points, with Young and Potter finishing with 13 and 11, respectively.  The Tigers shot just under 55% from the floor and forced 23 turnovers on the evening. UNC-G's Brandon Evansmatched Booker's point total on the evening, and Ben Stywall was able to add 13 in the contest.  The loss dropped UNC-G to 0-3 on the season, with each of these losses coming to an ACC foe.

Clemson has not been challenged this season, and appeared lackadaisical at times in this contest.  The Tigers will need to become more focused as conference play approaches.  OP appeared to be less than entheused with the effort, but not overly concerned stating:

We played well for the last 32, 35 minutes of the game, I thought we came out just a hair sluggish, but the work that we put in the last couple of days ... We got after our guys a little bit, and it kind of came to the surface.

Clemson next hosts Winthrop Monday night.
