Brady has what's being called a "hamstring strain" that he picked up while covering the 1st base bag in the 6th inning on Friday. Campbell collapsed while pitching the 9th on Friday night, clutching his shoulder (which eventually led to Scott Firth Giving up 3 runs). His injury is being called a lat strain.
These are both two SIGNIFICANT loses. Obviously, any time you're without your #1 starting pitcher, it's bad. Luckily, Brady should be back for the home stretch (if we make it that far without him). Campbell was one of the few guys in the bullpen that I actually trust with the lead, so this is devastating. If the offense continues what it did against GT this weekend, it will help ease the strain on our bullpen. But from what I've seen out of the pen in recent weeks, I don't feel that ANY lead is safe.
Brittle scored Slaton from 3rd for the walk-off hit in the bottom of the 9th. He continues to swing a hot bat.
Hard fought game, the Bucs must be a great team!
...14-25 on the year?
...No. 203 RPI in the nation?
...well, damn. It only could have been more embarrassing if we had lost.
