My brother and I began a semi-regular tradition a few years ago, driving to different college football meccas to take in a game. Last year on opening weekend, as we saw the scene leading up to the Georgia game, we decided that we had to see Clemson. Therefore we, along with my dad, are making a road trip from NW Florida (they're actually flying in from Spokane, WA before the drive) for the Clemson-Louisville game in October. Before we get there, a few questions...
1) What is the usual ticket situation? Should I go StubHub or scalp the day of the game?
2) Is there any sort of standard attire? We went to Ole Miss a couple years ago, and they leaned a little more toward polos, deck shoes etc.
3) How long before game time should we plan to arrive?
4) We will be getting into town on Friday afternoon. Are there any can't-miss places to eat? Any cool places for guys who are in their late 30s with a dad in his early 60s to have a beer or five? I'm a big fan of microbrews, so I'm wondering if there are any bars around town that have a good selection.
Lastly, I am wondering if any of you fine folks are willing to let us hang out at your tailgate. We will bring more than our fair share of liquid refreshments or whatever else can be bought at the store and/or made by my wife the day prior. I am Active Duty Air Force, I fly the AC-130H "Spectre" Gunship, and I will have a souvenir or two to give out. If anyone is willing, send me a message at email@example.com. Thanks in advance. I am counting the days until we get there.
