with the Jimbo Fisher contract being bumped to 4.1 million per and Charlie Strong entering the league next year at 3.7 million per ,the average coaches salary in the ACC just spiked to an all time high. The contract for Dabo is 1.97 million per and has built in bonuses , one of which is a longevity bonus of 500,000 that he collected on 11/30/13, but that bonus should be of little concern to the fanbase. The real concern has much more to do with the above mentioned coaches and their contracts causing a dramatic increase in Dabos salary . Making the ACC Championship Game for Dabo means an increase in salary from 1.97 million to 3.13 million a year, winning the ACC championship game is an increase to 3.51 million a year . What does this truly mean for the program as a whole? Is Dabo going to be too expensive to keep around if he only produces one Championship appearence? Will he be too expensive for other programs to even consider outside of major programs? Did TDP stick it to the program one last time ? To me this could be a long term problem for the program seeing that only 13 programs have coaches being paid this type of base salary and those coaches ,for the most part , are delivering to the level of their contracts.
