I loved the old name, and was happy to see someone reminding the national media that they are all saying it wrong. I have even occasionally corrected South Carolina fans who make "LOL. They said it wrong!" comments or posts, pointing out that, regardless of school affiliation, such comments merely prove they are less of a South Carolinian than those they are making fun of. The first Clemson coach, player, or academic* to correct some outsider's mispronunciation in an interview will immediately become my least hated Tiger ever.

*Kidding. There is likely not a university president in the nation confident enough to say that.
