When asked Dabo said chance Watkins could play vs Auburn. Punishment will be handed down before season.

Last month, Dabo said Watkins was likely to miss some PT. Today said a chance he'll play vs AU.Maybe he'll be docked a half.

Today at Dabo Swinney's golf classic, Coach Swinney came out with some very interesting statements as chronicled above by Greg Anderson. Those comments got me thinking, should Sammy Watkins be suspended at all for what he did, whether it is for a quarter, half, or full game; even if he has been able to prove himself as a stand up kid. Being an athlete for a major university is much more a privilege than a burden, and being caught with illegal substances, no matter how small; should not be something so easy to wave away.
After reading those quotes above, I do not believe that Sammy Watkins will be suspended for any part of a game this upcoming season. He may get a suspension similar to what Steve Spurrier used with Stephen Garcia, which if I remember right was a loss of a training camp day and almost no media interviews. However, I do believe he should suspended, as it should be known that regardless of being a star player or not, you do have to suffer the consequences of your actions.
What about the rest of you Tiger fans? Do you believe Watkins should serve a suspension for this upcoming season? Poll after the jump.
