Would not surprise me if true
But anyone can post any crap they want on the net. Make up anything you want, and post it saying someone else said or did it.
The bowl game looked like more than the OL was saying that.
Sounds likely
What motivation would their DB have had to say that anyway? If that was just a SC fan saying he heard a SC player say that then I’d think it was BS, but WV may never play us again; there’s no rivalry there.
If that is indeed true, we have much, much bigger issues than Kevin Steele. That’s pathetic.

well I'm really pissed off again
I had just stopped being enraged by Wed. performance but this has me pissed off all over again. The sad part is that this is completely believable, this program needs a complete overhaul. I’m starting to realize that Dabo may be bringing in highly rated recruiting classes problem is his personality draws highly rated but SOFT recruits like a moth to a flame.
Developing a theory
I think that our notoriously soft practices and conditioning is recruiting soft/lazy but talented players. They know from talking to other recruits/current players how practices, offseasons and coaches are. They know if someone’s a real bastard or not. I think some of the recruits we get know they can come here, not get pushed too hard, win some games because of talent, and go to the league. Players that go to Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, hell even South Carolina, know that the coaches there are going to whip their ass from day one til they graduate, but they are going there because they want to win. I think this has become an ugly cycle at Clemson; practice and train soft, soft players come who want the easy road.
Obviously not all of our players are this way, but if you have 2-3 on the field with 8-9 who are busting their ass, it brings the whole team down. When these guys decide to play, such as against Auburn, Florida State, we play ‘up to our competition’, but when we play teams we feel we are more talented than, these same guys likely play ‘down to the competition’ and we lose to the NC States, Georgia Techs and West Virginias, who we get overhyped as being more talented than.

Ding Ding
Softness attracts softness and breeds softness. It is a cyclical cultural problem.
"There was like linemen out there talking about, ‘Good job, man, stop going so hard. Y'all got it.' I was like, all right," says West Virginia senior cornerback Keith Tandy. "I never heard anything like that and they just made us want to go harder and keep making plays."
Yep, and the QB is a prime example.
If there’s no hype involved, he can’t be bothered. Clemson football is what’s left over once the spine has been removed. Never has the phrase “grow a pair” been more appropriate.

This is Clemson Football 1999-2012
It’s not a surprise when your coach is a sweet guy, cares about your feelings, tells you how great you are (even when you slack off), doesn’t make you practice hard, and even let’s you pick the schedule. It’s Sissy Finishing School.
The program will continue on the pattern of the last decade until we get a MANHOOD OVERHAUL.
"We believe and teach our boys they must be more aggressive and "out-mean" our opponents if they expect to win with consistency." -Bear Bryant
“The most violent team will win,” -Mike Tomlin
"There was like linemen out there talking about, ‘Good job, man, stop going so hard. Y'all got it.' I was like, all right," says West Virginia senior cornerback Keith Tandy. "I never heard anything like that and they just made us want to go harder and keep making plays."
How about Bowden calling Saban for advice??
That was the pussiest thing I’d ever heard after Bama beat us 34-10, and then calling his father, Beamer and Mark Richt for advice.
Now it’s making sense to me why we didn’t hire Troy Calhoun out of fear he might “rock the boat”. Troy Calhoun??? If HE’S a boat rocker, Nick Saban would capsize the school.

Warm ups
Players wearing headphones during pregame warmups, Boyd with his belly hanging over his belt, crazy. It was obvious the team quit, during the game. Just confirmation.

If this is true, and I suspect it is, I’m glad were losing the while line. None deserve to wear that paw on their helmet

Wow. Just wow. If this is true, then we have some very serious, deep rooted issues.
This is completely unacceptable. Where is the competitive edge? The “want-to” win? For goodness sakes, how about a little pride?
