Clemson [19-10 (8-7), RPI: 67, SOS: 90] Clemson lost at Duke on Wednesday night, but looked tough in doing so. What does that mean? Probably not very much. After all, the eye test only goes so far. Still, for a team that might just be on the cusp of the tournament, the inability to lose a bad game down the stretch -- at Duke doesn't qualify, and the Tigers still have a chance to beat Virginia Tech at home Saturday -- might just distinguish Brad Brownell's team by default. The rest of the bubble (Colorado, Memphis, Baylor, etc.) has been habitually losing bad games. If Clemson can get the Virginia Tech win, it might move up enough to get on the right side of the bubble heading into the ACC tournament. Even then, the Tigers probably have to play well. With their top nonconference win coming against Charleston, the margin for error is just too small. But the chance is certainly there."

— Eamonn Brennan over at ESPN is starting to believe that Clemson can make the tourney with a win over Virginia Tech. Clemson got a lot of help this past week with many bubble teams suffering tough losses.
