Bittersweet
That was one of the best defensive games we ever played, despite a lot of young guys on the field. Bill Olver was the man.
Hard to believe Wayne SImmons and Chester McGlockton are already gone. That game also marked what truned out to be the begining of the dark days at CU.
Harris was a great running QB
And that night he came up on a defense that gave him a lot of problems. A lot.
I'll be honest
I got a little teary-eyed watching that. I remember watching that game and thinking that we were bound to win another National Championship very soon. Then the world ended. Some fans need to watch that and remember what a Clemson team should be like: tough, mean, amazing linebackers, and sound running game, and most importantly winners. Thanks for posting this. I think I’ll watch it again. RIP Wayne Simmons and Chester.
Talk about a depressing start to the day
I was born in 1980 and have been a tiger fan since birth. This one and the 1987 Citrus Bowl where we pounded Penn State into the dirt were my two favorite bowl games of all time.
Watching this makes me wish we could bring Danny Ford out of retirement. Imagine what he could have done if our administration hadn’t had their heads stuck up their asses. I bet we would have at least two more national championships by now.
