Jennings with a good layup and give in go to Booker in the opening
I’m impressed, but is this because of competition or will this be the new norm?

The team is certainly taking it easy right now
They should be killing ASU. 21-13 our lead, with about 8 or so left in the 1st. Team not making good shot choices. Coach B has got to make these guys angry

To be honest I don’t expect us to kill anybody this year, we will be lucky just win games. A killer instinct is something you develop and this team doesn’t have 5 minutes worth of consistent play in much less something like that. Just got to get the wins when we can and take advantage of these smaller teams as when conference play starts it is going to be tough to win games..

I think we will be able to contend in most ACC games
Confence as a whole is down this year, and teams like BC, Maryland, Wake, and VT are no where near where they “should” be. And I think with the depth that we have should keep us in games against NCSU and UVA as they are 6 man rosters essentially.
But yes, it is going to be a long season, but there is no reason we should having close games with these OOC games. Makes me question how good the coaching staff actually is

Well I agree that the conference is as down as it has been in quite some time and we may win a few games, but i said we won’t win 10 games before the season started, but maybe that’s a bit harsh but this team lacks a lot. When Bobo ( A guy I like for the record) is a main contributor on your team then your in trouble and really have talent issues. I understand that the coaching staff is at a major disadvantage due to not be able to recruit that first year, but my only gripe is that he continues to stick with guys like Booker and Jennings. Just be done with them and let’s let the Freshman play heavy minutes and grow from this…

I agree with playing the Frosh's
I think the best way to ignite the upperclassmen is to sit them in favor for the freshmen. You essentially tell them, if you are not going to try for me, then I’m not going to help you showcase anything for the professional levels. This could blow up in your face, but I think it’s better than the same old.
Good posting btw.

DRIVE TO THE DAMN HOLE.
Outside shots can come later, now get a dang lead!

Whomever #32 is, he looks like David Potter on my crappy computer screen

Jennings has 6-7 more points than he has in the past few games
Mostly because he is doing this thing called shooting
Don't give up, don't ever give up ~ Jim Valvano
@ the half 36-21 our lead
Team has put down some nice Alley oops to Booker and Jennings in the game. Freshman have played well so far as well. Sullivan seems to really understand what to do off-ball, which is something you need out of everyone. I would prefer a better shot selection by the team, but I guess we have the rest of Christmas break to figure that out.
If you want me to continue live blogging this let me know, or I’ll go radio silent in the 2nd half

Overall team D is holding up 43-27 Clemson
We are dominating them, but still needing better shots. Went back to the starters for the game, Narcisse, Booker, Young, Hall, & name i’m forgetting
15 min left in game

One thing will be interesting to see how the Tigers do in this little tournament upcoming this week! We have been pretty decent on the road minus the Arizona game but that was to be expected, we have just had some big time troubles at home. This tournament features a couple of top notch teams in Xavier, Long Beach State is pretty good!

Luckily we'll avoid both Xavier and LBSU until the championship game

Should be noted, Bobo is getting little work tonight
Either Coach is satisfied with him skill wise, or he is trying different rotations to see what is happening
Don't give up, don't ever give up ~ Jim Valvano
I think it’s the latter, but honestly Brownie is running out of time and needs to settle on something. Personally, while Bobo isn’t the greatest but he at least give us heart and size in the middle something we don’t have on the bench so I am not sure why he has reverted back to this all veteran line-up minus Sapp. Honestly I like Hall-PG, Young/Sapp-SG, Sapp/Smith/Sullivan-SF, McDaniels or Sullivan-PF, and Bobo. Everybody else I can do away….

Jennings is much more aggressive tonight than he has been all year
I think he is up to 10 points so far in the game. He is playing more of a low post position, which I feel is out of his comfort zone, but if this continues we could have a nice set up with him, Booker, and Sullivan
Don't give up, don't ever give up ~ Jim Valvano
Jennings is ruined and I blame Purnell for not developing him in the least during that all important Freshman year. Granted I don’t think was as good as advertised but it didn’t help that Purnell didn’t do much to help! I have never seen a guy so non-confident in what he does but it seems no matter what Bronwell tries he just doesn’t respond. He is having a better night but still is having a ton of mental mistakes!

Foul trouble so far. Too many stupid offensive fouls
Don't give up, don't ever give up ~ Jim Valvano
Tanner as usual is best defensive player
And he has developed his ball handling considerably from the beginning of the year. Makes his foul shots, and looks like competent leader on the court.
BTW did you know he made Tanners Toots?

WITH BOBO'S SLAM
Each tiger to see the court has scored now
Don't give up, don't ever give up ~ Jim Valvano
Yeah pretty impressive what Tanner has done with his charity for a guy his age and nice Bobo slamma jamma!

KJ McDaniels feeds it low to Booker
This is how we should be against a zone look. Give n Gos, Drive and pop outs, and finding the guy with one man down low. Good move by the frosh
Don't give up, don't ever give up ~ Jim Valvano
64-44 with under 4 left
We have surpassed our 62 ppg average
Don't give up, don't ever give up ~ Jim Valvano
Yeah, even the whitey got to play
And even he looked more efficient than our upperclassmen. Trouble is you can’t really take too much from the next two weeks of games. Even your team comes out and plays hard, then yay, but it could be you are just playing weaker competition.
Don't give up, don't ever give up ~ Jim Valvano
We win 70-45
Team looked overall ok, but more should be expected out of this team. Looked uninspired in 1st half, turned it on in the 2nd half. Young guns look like they want it, and Young and Narcisse look like they want to be on the court as well. Booker had some nice shots, and Jennings also came alive for a bit. Downside of the game: To many stupid offensive fouls, either for hooking, pushing, or illegal screens. If you do those now, you will do them later. The team needs to get that under control.
