Gardener Webb @ Clemson
Well I know were hopefully still in the midst of a dream season for Football, but the basketball begins tonight with Gardener Webb Runnin Bulldogs @ Clemson. Early on it's the Tigers on top 6-5 in what appears to be some early game jitters for both teams. Many experts expect this to be a tough year for the Tigers due to the lack of depth but Brownell has my faith and seems to be the man for the job to get this team back to the Tourney!
These opinions are not necessarily those of the Proprietors of Shakin' The Southland.

Yeah I know it’s Gardener Webb, but you can see Brownell’s tough defense…..

I agree but some of that is attributed to who was on the floor when it happened which would go back to the depth issue and I am not just talking about the freshman, as we got some upperclassmen who are not really where they should be…

Well at one point in the first, the Tigers had a 10pt lead, but a real letdown to close out the half and it’s all tied up at 29-29 at halftime. Right now, impressed with some of young talent in Sapp and Hall, but continue to be unimpressed with the “All American” Milton Jennings. Not going to get to excited as this is somewhat expected, but Gardener Webb is nothing special even in the Big South they were picked to finish around 10th.

The Final Score: Clemson 66 Gardener Webb 44 F.
A tale of two halves some might say, but really for all of about 7 minutes or so the Tigers easily dominated this game defensively despite the game being tied at the half. Obviously, not too much to get excited about given the competition but it is always nice to get a win, and the freshman played decent, particularly TJ Sapp who showed some flashes of Stitt.

They got rid of the Tiger Attacking the Bus video! At least for this game! They better bring it back.

Really, I wonder if they are going to do something else, as that always seems to get the crowd pumped up before the game starts.

Fail animation is fail
I mean, I loved the animation in a weird sort of way. But you have to admit, you can definitely tell it was an in-house operation. Ever notice the Paw on the “IPTAY Office” in the video? Looks like it was taken from a Tiger with a birth defect.
On a related note, they still show it at the Women’s games, in all it’s…glory.
"There is something in these hills that you and I can't define and others can't understand. A wave of warmth always surges through me when 'outsiders' say, 'I don't know what it is about you Clemson people, but your undying love for Clemson is admired by everyone I know.'" - Joe Sherman
Ha ha, yeah I knew it was done by the students but that was what made it sort of neat. I mean if they got something better I am all for it, as I think we need something like that before the games. As for the ladies games, they can afford to still show it there b/c their is only like 100 people there to watch the games…
