Very exciting
Unfortunately wasn’t able to catch the 2nd half of the OU game. I’m VERY cautiously optimistic. Whatever happens, you have to be happy with the way the Tigers have played here in the postseason. I just hope it doesn’t all end on a grounder to the left side.
I agree
with your cautious optimism. We looked very lethargic today from what I saw and couldn’t get the bats going again. I just hope we can continue this good pitching we’ve stumbled upon and also pray that Fredderick can keep being a reliable closer for us. We will need him again for sure..
I, too, am cautiously optimistic, but the truth is that this team has exceeded my expectations by a mile.
Anything can happen at this point, and we just have to hope the team continues to play well for another several days. Yestarday afternoon was a tough situation for us or any team in our position, and we got the job done.
There is something in these Hills!
So if I understand this bracket
We next play the winner of OU/USuck, and if we win, we are in.
If we lose, then we play them again.
If we win that we are in, otherwise we’re out.
So OU/USuck has to win 2 games against to advance. We can lose the first but win the second and still go through to the final.
That is correct. It is double elemination, so a team has to lose twice before it is knocked out. We have no losses, and OU and USC each have one.

If only we could beat the Chickens twice and then win the CWS
But I’ll take it anyway.
Of course I’m counting my chickens before they lose but hey….
Do you risk throwing in Harman
Or wait to use him in game 2 if it comes to that? Personally i’d like to save him for the finals.

I am holding my opinion for the preview post
but in short, I would toss him out there Friday and get him back for Game 2 of the finals.
I think you do everything you can to get the job done in one game instead of letting it go to two games.
If Harman is your best option, then use him. If not, then use someone else. But don’t save your pitchers for the finals and then not make it. Either way, though, we have to be looking a lot better in terms of available pitching than either USC or OU at this point.
