Georgia Fans Rate Tennessee Rivalry Ahead of Clemson Rivalry
Hopefully, this just means that the old fogies like me who remember the heyday of the Georgia-Clemson rivalry simply don't know how to use a computer while the younger Bulldog fans run up the score, but I did not expect this poll vote to be so one-sided.
Maybe that will change (or, rather, will change back) after I find a publisher for Fighting Like Cats and Dogs.

I absolutely agree.
Absence doesn’t make the heart grow fonder, but it does make the memory grow dimmer.
The reaction to Dabo Swinney’s suggestion of a Georgia-Clemson spring exhibition game demonstrates the continued vitality of this storied natural rivalry, but we may have to wait until the revival of the dormant rivalry in 2013 and 2014 before the younger fans of both programs remember just how much of their heritage is tied up in this border war.
Personally, I can’t wait; I’ve taken my son to Clemson to see the Bulldogs play a baseball game in Doug Kingsmore Stadium, and I’ve promised to take him back to see the Bulldogs play a football game in Death Valley.

We cannot wait either…there is nothing better than hating UGa. I really wish these two teams could resume an ANNUAL football rivalry, as it is a natural rivalry for so many reasons.
Please keep the STS crowd up to date on the status of the book. I know many folks who are looking forward to getting a peak at it.

This rivalry needs to continue. It is a giant hole on each teams schedule each year. and to make it all be remembered:
Danny Ford wanted to take Herschel to lunch. Herschel accepted. Coach Ford said, "Herschel, I’m going to take you some place that you’ve never been." Herschel was baffled when they pulled up to Death Valley and walked inside. In the end zone was a small table, two chairs and a fresh white linen. Herschel said, "Coach Ford, I’m confused. Why are we going to have lunch in the end zone?" Danny Ford said, "Herschel, I told you I was going to take you some place that you’ve never been."

You recruited Herschel Walker, who many consider to be the greatest college football player ever. How close did he come to attending Clemson?
“At the Georgia game that year, he was in the stands as our guest. He told us after the game he was coming to Clemson. He told us on several occasions that he was coming to Clemson. When did I know I wasn’t going to get him? Herschel, the whole time, drove an old beat-up black Ford and I would go to the junior high school where they had their practice field and everything. He would be there the last period, and the old black Ford would be parked outside the gym, His senior year, I pulled in there and there was a shiny new Trans Am, a Pontiac Trans Am. I didn’t think anything of it, and that it might be another coach’s car. I went inside, and his coach said, ‘How do you like Herschel’s new car?’ I said ‘no’ and he said ‘Yeah, his dad bought it for him.’ I knew right there we weren’t going to get him.”
This may be asking too much.
But do you know where I can find the audio of Larry Munson giving commentary on Clemson running down the hill the time they played in 1995 (or any other time)? I absolutely dispise UGA, but no matter how hard I would ever try, you just have to love Larry Munson.

The best I'd know to tell you would be to check the audio archive at Larry's website.
Here’s the link. Sorry I couldn’t be more help than that.

Thankyou.
I checked it and there was nothing, which is understandable, since most of its viewers are UGA fans and they obviously are more interested in hearing him call great plays in UGA history than the commentary he offered on an opposing team’s entrance. Still, I don’t remember exactly what he said, but I remember that it was good, much like most of his comments.

I am not great with googling stuff and finding it, but I tried and did not have any success.
