CJ Spiller snubbed by Heisman voters
Spiller:
"I certainly wanted to make it to New York for the Heisman presentation. It would have been great for this football program and Clemson University in general. But, I have done the best I could in every game. I have no regrets.
"I want to especially thank the Clemson fans for their support. I know they came out in great numbers in the fan voting poll (Spiller finished second in that poll) and have been very supportive of me my entire career.
"I want to thank all my teammates, especially the offensive line. We have one game left. We have not won a bowl game since I have been at Clemson. The seniors want to go out with a win."
Although I knew CJ was not going to win it, I hoped for his sake that he'd get invited. I don't think Tebow really deserved to go this year based on his statistical performances. He got in on a career/pretty-boy ballot. The trophy is no longer about the best player in college football, its about the best player on the best team.
He's the most dynamic player in Clemson history if you ask me, and without the toe injury all season and a coach that would give him 20 carries from scrimmage every day, I think he'd be the Heisman winner.
Now watch him run all over Kentucky.

I can't believe
CJ wasn’t invited to NYC!!! It is horrible after the game he had against GT that he wasn’t picked. I’m at a loss.
I play real sports...Not try to be the best at exercising.

I think the Heisman lost credibility long ago
And I think most CFB fans feel the same way. You just have to be a good player at a skill position on a great team, after that it’s pretty much a crapshoot to see who wins. Not going to lie though, I am disappointed that he didn’t even get an invite.

CJ was a victim of this program
Clemson’s loss to UMd and the poor showing in Columbia really hurt him. I wish he was healthy all season and able to get the extra carries (specifically in games like Coastal) to pad the stats. There is no arguing that CJ is probably the most electrifying player in football, it is just a shame he did not make it to NY. Without Spiller, there is no way this team even has a shot at an ACC crown.

Yeah
realistically I think he’s two wins from the Heisman.

FSU Fan Here
I seriously don’t know who I’m glad is leaving more, Tim Tebow or CJ Spiller.
IMO, Spiller is the best player in the country. The fact that he wasn’t even invited to the Heisman Ceremony renders it completely irrelevant now.
it’s either a lifetime achievement award (Tebow), or the best player on a national championship team (McCoy/Ingram), or a statistical monster (Gerheart).
If there’s justice in the world, Suh will win. IMO he’s Spiller on defense.
CJ, I’m glad you’re gone, but very sorry you got shafted. Now go make dem millions, boy!

This completely invalidates the Heisman Trophy this year.
There’s no valid excuse for this.
Make up your minds, biased voters, is it about the best player in football or not? Obviously it isn’t, this year (and hasn’t been for a long time, I believe).

This snub may in fact motivate our team to beat the hell out of Kentucky. That and the fact the seniors haven’t won a bowl game?!?! Has is been that long?
There really is a chance we don’t phone it in during the bowl.

Of course that was with Tommy
It seems that we play more motivated with Dabo, to me anyways.
